Yellow Is The Colour

We were welcomed into our partnership Shivam Aadarsh School on the day of celebration of Basant Panchami, an important Hindu festival which heralds the start of preparations for Holi. Mustard flowers bloom in India during Basant Panchami, and the festival is associated with the colour yellow. The festival celebrates the Hindu goddess, Saraswati, who is honoured on this day as representing learning, creativity and music. We were so warmly invited to join in the celebrations that even Ian danced!
