Sharda's Remarkable Recovery Continues During Lockdown

We last reported on Sharda’s progress in November. You will recall she suffered severe burns when her dress was set alight by campfire flames in January 2019. Now, after 15 months of hospital care, funded by donations to a crowdfunding appeal, Sharda still requires twice-weekly visits to the hospital for treatment and dressing changes, to prevent any regression in the remarkable progress she’s made. Our dear friend, Happy, has been granted a special medical licence enabling him to drive her in his rickshaw to attend these appointments during the 22 hours of curfew imposed across the district each day. We hope that, after a further 3-4 months of treatment, Sharda will be ready to receive the skin graft surgery she will then need.
